The nine days Everest Panorama Trek is a fantastic option for those who don’t have enough time or dare to hike the full length of Everest Base Camp Trek. In this trek, you’ll get an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of early mountaineers but, in a short period. This short Everest Panorama Trek starts from Lukla after a 45-minute flight from Kathmandu. You’ll continue your trek from Lukla-Phakding -Namche Bazaar; the Sherpa capital of Nepal. Namche Bazaar is popular as the gateway to Everest.

In Namche, you’ll explore the beautiful scenery and the lifestyle of the Sherpa people. From there you’ll continue the trek towards Tengboche where you’ll come across an ancient Buddhist monastery. Undoubtedly, the main feature of this Everest Panorama Trek is to hike to the holiest Sherpa Buddhist religious monastery: Tengboche monastery. Tengboche offers 360-degree panoramic views of the world’s’ highest peaks, including Mt. Everest  8848 M, Mt. Lhotse 8516M, Mt. Thamserku 6608M, Mt. Ama Dablam 6810M, and other snowy peaks.

Apart from the mesmerizing view of Everest, this short trek has many other highlights as well. It includes the Sherpa village Khumjung, Sherpa capital Namche Bazaar, Everest View Hotel, and Syangboche Airstrip.

Although Everest Panorama trek is all year doable trip, the best time is from March to May and the beginning of September to the end of December.

Welcome to Nepal. Upon arrival, our representative will welcome you and safely escort to the respective hotel. After freshening up, you’ll attend a small team meeting where our guide will brief you about the trip. During the evening, you’ll join a welcome dinner where you’ll get a chance to meet your travel team for trekking and trekkers. You’ll spend overnight in Kathmandu.
Travel duration: 45 minutes of flight Trek Duration: 3 hours Max Elevation: 2804 M, Lukla Walking Distance: 8 km After a proper breakfast, you’ll head towards the Tribhuvan International Airport to catch a flight to Lukla. Following the trail of the Dudh Koshi River, you’ll begin your journey towards Phakding via the prosperous village of Lukla. Once you reach Lukla, you’ll take a short break and continue your trek towards Phakding. Walking along the bank of Dudh Koshi River and passing via several mani walls, stupas, and prayer wheels you’ll reach Phakding. You’ll spend a night at the teahouses in Phakding. (BLD)
Trek Duration: 5.5 hours Max Elevation: 3441 M, Namche Bazaar Walking Distance: 11 km Early morning after breakfast, following the banks of Dudh Koshi River, you’ll cross several suspension bridges, Hillary Suspension Bridge is one of them. The trail passes through Sagarmatha National Park where you need to show your trekking permits. Moving ahead, the trail includes steep climbs and passes via dense forests. Though the trail becomes little challenging at the end of the day, you’ll get a jaw-dropping view of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. Namche Bazaar is the main gateway to Mt. Everest. This place is like a tourist hub full of restaurants, hotels, shops, a bakery cafe, money exchange, etc. You’ll spend a night at one of the finest tea houses in Namche Bazaar. ( BLD)
Trek Duration: 5 hours Max Elevation: 3,962 M, Everest View Hotel Before proceeding ahead, you need a rest day to adjust with the thin air of high land. So, this is the day for acclimatization. Namche Bazaar is a great place to explore with plenty of souvenir shops, restaurants, bars, and a good German Bakery cafe too. You’ll explore around Namche Bazaar and take an acclimatization walk up to the Everest View Hotel. From here you’ll get an awesome view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Mt. Lhotse. After then you’ll visit the Sherpa Museum where you can see the traditional custom of the Sherpa people. Also, you can see great photographs of Everest summiteers. You’ll spend overnight at the teahouse of Namche. (BLD)
Trek Duration: 5 hours Max Elevation: 3860 M, Tengboche Walking Distance: 10 km Early in the morning, after breakfast, you’ll head towards Tengboche. From Namche, you’ll climb several uphills and downhills to Sanas, and then the trail descends gradually to Tashinga and finally drops steeply to Phukin Thagna where you’ll be crossing Dudh Koshi river. After climbing for two hours, you’ll reach Tengboche. It is one of the religious places for the Sherpa people. Here you’ll visit the Tengboche Monastery which is one of the largest in the Everest region. From the top of the monastery, you’ll get a breathtaking view of Mt. Everest and surrounding peaks. Here you can also meet many mountaineers and submitters who visit the place to collect blessings from Lamas before their expeditions. After exploring Tengboche Monastery, you’ll walk to the teahouse of Tengboche for an overnight stay. (BLD)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Max Elevation: 3441 M, Namche Bazaar Walking Distance: 10 km Early in the morning, after visiting Tengboche Monastery and take blessings from Lamas you’ll head back to Namche Bazaar. Enjoying the splendid mountain views of Khumbu valley, walking via the dense rhododendron and birch forests you’ll reach Namche for an overnight stay.
Trek Duration: 8-9 hours Max Elevation: 2804 M, Lukla Walking Distance: 17.7 km Namche Bazaar to Lukla will be one of the best trekking phases during this Everest Panorama Trek. After breakfast, you’ll trek back to Lukla. The walk is quite downhill so you may have to put a huge effort on your knees. Though the Namche to Lukla trek will be a little hectic, you’ll get ample opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the Everest region. The dense rhododendron forests, plenty of waterfalls, diverse landscapes will surely please your eyes. Enjoying the last day of the trek, you’ll continue your walk to Lukla. Once you reach Lukla, you can take rest or spend time with other fellow trekkers. Overnight stay at the teahouse of Lukla. (BLD)
Travel duration: 45 minutes of flight Max Elevation: 1350 M, Kathmandu You’ll take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the 45-minute scenic flight. On arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu, our representative will transfer you to the respective hotel. You can take rest and can do some shopping for your close ones around the Thamel area. In the evening, you’ll partake a farewell dinner where you can enjoy authentic Nepalese dishes.
